They are the fruit of perdition.

The personification of the most perverse and insane of creation.

They are not God's creatures, they are abominations copied from any animal you have ever seen.

They have no conscience and they also lack the spirit of God that sustains life.

They are alive by other sources of energy...

Perhaps their source of power comes directly from Yaldabaoth's hatred and ignorance, from its willingness to be the true creator and fail to do so.
Sabaoth to Satanael.

The Ancients of Darkness, also known as Descendants of Chaos and Dark Animals, are abyssal and evil creatures that inhabit the World of Yaldabaoth, the Shadow of the Creator. They are versions/copies of animals created by God, being unintelligent beings that inhabit the darkness, devouring everything that exists in front of them.

Overview[]

The Ancients of Darkness are copies of the God animals that the Demiurge, Yaldabaoth, created in his world known as Chaosverse. They are creatures made of darkness, flesh and other strange elements mixed in their genetics. Most remain in Chaoverse, eternally dwelling in that prison of darkness, far from the light of the true realm of Creator. Unlike the beasts of God that were originally created not to be fierce but were corrupted when Adam and Eve gained the knowledge of Good and Evil, the monsters of Yaldabaoth are simply creatures whose sole instinct is to devour whatever lies ahead.

They reproduce asexually and most of the time, puppies devour their parents with the intention of getting stronger. It can also happen that parents devour their young with the intention of strengthening themselves. Sabaoth explains that they are not exactly creatures, but flaws, comparing the monsters to a virus created by Yaldabaoth that goes on devouring everything that exists. There are countless of these creatures scattered across the Multiverse of the Child of Chaos, of different forms and appearances, with some even being similar to human beings, albeit in a chaotic and sinister way, with the same devouring instinct. These "humans" have no soul, being devoid of emotions and feelings, totally empty inside. Just beings made of flesh without conscience, soul or spirit.

Description[]

It is difficult to describe such entities, as they are as bizarre as the Old Ones, with the obvious difference that they are much weaker. However, these creatures should not be underestimated, as Sabaoth claims that some of them are capable of devouring even Cherubim and Seraphim level Angels and Demons. They are chaotic beings, lacking in consciousness, driven only by an irrational instinct to devour and kill. It is not possible to interact or domesticate them, as they do not respect even the law of the fittest or even a food chain.

These creatures are ignorant like their creator, being poor in conscience, being as intelligent as a stone. The only thing that makes them move is an unknown energy source, possibly the hatred of Yaldabaoth, and an animalistic instinct to devour. They do, however, seem to harbor some kind of hatred and contempt for the Dragon Eater, perhaps because he created them only to suffer and feel pain and cause each other pain. Because they are creatures of darkness, having none of God's divine light, this makes it difficult to know if they are capable of actually having emotions.

Appearances[]

The Ancient of Darkness are entities similar to land animals. However, their shapes are totally bizarre and nonsensical, with creatures that should have been a few centimeters tall being hundreds of meters tall. Some may appear as a mixture of races due to the fact that they keep devouring and merging with the creatures they devour to gain more power. Some species in particular are similar to humans, but having irregular sizes and, in the end, being the same thing as other Ancient of Darkness.

Powers and Abilities[]

History[]

After Yaldabaoth was abandoned by the Mother Goddess Sophia, the Blind God wandered through the emptiness of space until he decided to create its own World. Then Yaldabaoth said "Let there be light... And let there be darkness!", thus giving rise to its chaotic and evil multiverse, known as the Chaosverse. The World was inspired by the Multiverse of the One and Absolute, the Divine Spirit.

The Dark Being, however, was not satisfied, so he said to his archons "let us descend and create man and beast, according to our image and our likeness". However, what Yaldabaoth created was nothing more than defective and copied versions of beings created by God. While animals have a spirit that gives them life, while humans have spirit and soul, the creatures of Yaldabaoth are totally hollow inside, with no divine light in them. Just endless darkness.

Quotes[]

I hear his voice... He despised us. He forgot us. He created us only for pain. Just to kill. Just to hurt each other. We are the abominations, creatures of darkness that dwell between the gaps left in the absence of light.
Many Ancient of Darkness.
