The fact that invoker actually summoned Andras is enough to show how desperate he is for his plan to succeed. [...] He is an exceptionally dangerous demon lord, even for other demons, and should never be called upon unless it is the most dire of situations and you have no other choices. Every invoker with any formal education would have know that.
Matt Wright.

Andras is the sixty-third infernal entity conjured by King Solomon and documented in the Ars Goetia.

Overview[]

Andras, a Great Marquis of Hell, wields authority over thirty legions of demons, all devoted to the grim task of tracking and slaying human beings. Only a summoner of considerable strength possesses the capability to invoke Andras.

When a binder plays host to Andras, they manifest two diminutive, vestigial owl's wings upon their back. Succumbing to his influence, they experience an overwhelming emotional lethargy that causes them to lose interest and wander away from a confrontation if it persists beyond ten rounds.

Appearance[]

Andras is typically portrayed as a humanoid figure donning the wings of an angel and sporting the head of an owl. He is often depicted riding a robust black wolf and wielding a radiant, razor-sharp sword. On occasion, he may take on the guise of a nearly unclothed elf, retaining the same distinctive angelic and owl-like characteristics as in his more traditional form.

Personality[]

Among the spirits detailed in the Ars Goetia, Andras stands out as one of the most violent and perilous to summon, primarily due to his pronounced impatience. To ensure their safety, the conjurer and any accompanying individuals must remain steadfastly within the confines of a protective magic circle, regardless of any attempts made by Andras to entice them out. Deviating from this precaution could result in deadly consequences.

Furthermore, if requested, Andras is more than willing to carry out acts of harm or even death upon individuals designated by the conjurer, highlighting the malevolent nature of his abilities.

Andras is very strict demon, so summoners have to be very careful with their words, while talking to him. It is easy for Andras to understand them too directly.

He is a no-nonsense demon who should only be conjured for serious affairs. Though, he has been noted to hold a favor toward dark magicians. Because of his dangerous nature, he should only be summoned in dire situations and he's one of the last resorts.

Power and Abilities[]

Andras' notoriety extends to his role in sowing discord, a reputation that led military leaders to summon him frequently. They harnessed his abilities to incite wars of enduring magnitude, wars that would reshape entire peoples and continents. What made Andras especially elusive was his talent for subtly working his mischief, making him exceedingly difficult to detect.

Moreover, Andras was believed to possess great skill in manipulating individuals' own anger, infecting them with uncontrollable and destructive rage. He could bend a person's anger to his will or, upon the conjurer's request, incite intense anger in anyone, even tempting them to turn against their own servants or masters. He was also known for imparting knowledge on how to eliminate one's enemies.

In some lore, Andras was attributed to playing a divine role in controlling storms, often regarded as a warrior-god whose smile manifested as lightning. He would release torrential rains, seemingly with cruelty, to nourish the meadows while destroying the ripening wheat—an act perceived by farmers as the work of a relentless and capricious magician of nature.

He could give the conjurer the answers to all secrets on Earth, in exchange for a terrible price.

Myth and Legends[]

Certain demonologists have ventured to speculate about a potential connection between the demon Andras and ancient British deities such as Andraste or Andarta. This speculation likely stems from similarities in the names or attributes of these entities. However, it's essential to note that these connections remain speculative and are not firmly established in historical or mythological records. The study of demonology often involves exploring various cultural and historical references, and such associations can be subject to interpretation and debate within the field.
