|“||The fact that invoker actually summoned Andras is enough to show how desperate he is for his plan to succeed. [...] He is an exceptionally dangerous demon lord, even for other demons, and should never be called upon unless it is the most dire of situations and you have no other choices. Every invoker with any formal education would have know that.||„|

Andras is a Great Marquis of Hell with thirty legions of demons under his command whose only directive is to hunt and kill men. Only a strong enough summoner is able to call Andras.
According to the Goetia, Andras appears as a near-naked elf or winged angel's body and the head of an owl or raven, riding upon a strong black wolf and wielding a great sword. He was also responsible for sowing discord. He is the 63rd of the 72 spirits of Solomon. Andras was considered to be a highly dangerous demon, who could kill the conjuring magician and his assistants if precautions were not taken. In certain demonologies, it is suggested that Flauros is his servant.
A binder hosting Andras sprouts two small, vestigial owl's wings from their back, and if they succumb to his influence, they become so emotionally listless that they'll get bored and wander off from a fight if it lasts longer than 10 rounds.
He is depicted as a humanoid with an angel's wings and an owl's head, riding a strong black wolf and holding a gleaming bright and sharp sword. Sometimes, he appears as a near-naked elf with the same features as before.
Among the spirits of the Ars Goetia, Andras is one of the most violent and dangerous to summon, mainly because of his lack of patience. The conjurer and any attendants he may have must stay within a magic circle at all times no matter how much Andras tempts them to leave it, or he will surely kill them.
If so asked, Andras will gladly kill any person the conjurer desires. Andras is very strict demon, so summoners have to be very careful with their words, while talking to him. It is easy for Andras to understand them too directly.
He is a no-nonsense demon who should only be conjured for serious affairs. Though, he has been noted to hold a favor toward dark magicians. Because of his dangerous nature, he should only be summoned in dire situations and he's one of the last resorts.
Power and Abilities
Andras was responsible for sowing discord and for this reason was allegedly summoned quite often by military leaders, to use his abilities to incite wars that last for decades, redefining peoples and continents. In addition, due to the subtle nature of his work, Andras was supposedly extremely difficult to detect.
Moreover Andras was considered to be a highly dangerous demon, who could kill the conjuring magician and his assistants if precautions were not taken. A misstep outside the magical protective circle could mean instant death for those who are not careful and wary, including the master, servants, and all assistants of any household.
Andras was also believed in being very skilled in using people's own anger against them, being able of infecting humans with uncontrollable dooming rage. He is able to control a person's anger or inflict rage upon any person the conjurer desires and tempt people to kill their servants or masters. He teaches people how to kill their enemies.
It is also declared that Andras was the one who played on high with the storms, the warrior-god whose smile is the lighting, who, in order to give freshness to the meadows, hurls down the waters which crush the ripening wheat, and seems, to the agriculturist, a cruel magician.
He could give the conjurer the answers to all secrets on Earth, in exchange for a terrible price.
- Rage Projection: The ability to enrage others, by magnifying their anger, until they commit an act of violence.
- Possession: The ability to control living beings' actions by entering their body. Andras could only possess his victims, beings who were angry.
- Shimmering: The ability to teleport in a shimmering manner.
- Sensing: The ability to locate and find people or objects.
- Immortality: As a demon, Andras possess a possibly infinite lifespan and an arrested aging process.
The demon Andras possessed a girl in East Africa in 1890. A priest named Ota Benga was called in to perform an exorcism, but he decided that the demon should not return to Hell either. Instead he imprisoned the creature in his own body.
Andras remained a demon within the body of Benga for over a century, until he was visited by B.P.R.D.-Agent Ashley Strode. Strode was contacted by Sybacco, Botis' servant who wanted to release his master's ally in order to rise the hierarchy of Hell. This demon hold the soul of a young boy hostage, threatening to take child's soul to Hell if his demands were not met.
Benga and Strode made a plan on how to kill the marquis. They traveled to the Spiritual Plane, where the battled with Andras and drove him out the Benga's old body. Andras possessed a goat which was then killed by Strode forcing him back to Hell.
Myth and Legends
Some demonologists speculate a connection between the demon and the ancient British deities Andraste or Andarta.
Some said Andras has Zoroastrian roots, formerly being a highest-ranked messenger of the Evil God Ahriman and a god of war. He later got fused in Hinduism as a War God of lightning comparable to Marduk or Zeus. He even appeared in Jewish folklore as one of the Watchers, Grigori, and taught humans about the arts of commerce and killing, in addition to teaching them to fight, especially how to efficiently crush a skull.
