Gods and Demons Wiki

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Gabriel for some Christians.

The False Prophet is a human being, possibly born of demonic parents, whose sole purpose in life is the corruption of mankind through a false religion, or a false interpretation of a religion.

He appears in the three main Abrahamic faiths, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, and all of them see him in a similar light: A man who comes to the world, spreading a false faith, which true believers must ignore and fight against.

Though The False Prophet, of Revelations, has yet to come, many other, minor, false prophets exist, leading cults and groups of people who are desperate for answers. They often style themselves as religious leaders, and claim to know the true path to enlightenment.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matheus 23:27.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that confesseth the Son hath the Father also.
1 John 2:22-23.
"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye shut the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye enter not in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering in to enter." This is so current that it appears that Jesus was describing some of the 21st century "prophets". For them, forgiving is no longer a rule, but judging others is an obligation. They think their hatred is good, they say they are the owner of reason. They are wolves incapable of loving people who see the world in a different way. They don't even realize that the devil they say they scold so much is laughing in their faces all the time.
